Extraction
that thinks ahead.
Motor-driven extraction slide gates for the workshop, parametrically engineered and continuously controlled. The suction power goes where it's needed.
Anyone who works with wood fights dust and slide gates that constantly have to be opened and closed by hand. The solution: gates that take care of it themselves.
Parametrically engineered
The complete assembly is built parametrically in Rhino & Grasshopper: diameters, tooth counts, wall thicknesses and bearing seats all hang on parameters. Change one input and the entire design, drive included, updates.
Continuously variable instead of open or shut
A stepper motor opens each gate continuously via pinion and ring gear. When several machines run at once, the one producing fine dust gets full suction while the planer gets half. The process is controlled by custom electronics and software.
Built: 3D printing meets acrylic
The gates are built half from 3D printing and half from acrylic. Assembled, tested and refined until each one opens and closes reliably.
